Rules of Survival Mobile: 8x8 Map Tutorial (Part 1)

1. Controls & Settings

With a map of 300 people, you need to react faster than usual. If you have not yet adjusted your control buttons, the first thing you need to do is make the buttons on the screen most suitable and comfortable for yourself. One tip for you is to open leaning system which can help you a lot in getting cover points and attacking the enemies. In addition, you have 3 choices in Advanced Settings. We highly recommend you to use Advanced Mode because it gives you more flexibility when shooting. If you find another better mode, use it. About Vehicle Control, we used to strongly encourage D-pad style, but in this new map you should turn on Sports Mode.​

2. Costumes

We greatly encourage you to use costumes that have the same tone or color as your surroundings, as this will help you when crawling and avoid being spotted by other players. Although colorful and unique clothes are gorgeous, they are not good choices for survival.

3. Parachuting

In this new map, there is a big change that we have two different two-way planes, with 150 players each plane. Players should avoid the central or intersection areas, try to drop on the edge of the map. For this 300-person map, parachuting is the most important skill. Because if you are slow, you will probably die as soon as you touch the ground, since there are so many people around you and they will have weapon before you.Thus, when choosing a place to drop, we should avoid the plane passing road. If the plane flies through the center, try to fly as far as possible to the edge of the map where less players jump down.

4. Dropping places

The first important thing is always to avoid “hot” spots. For Fearless Fiord map, it's Area 42 & Hero Ridge, where the planes are. A lot of players want to own the plane first. So, since there are many weapons in this place, it becomes a dangerous place if you want to keep your life and avoid fighting. A tip for you: if you do not follow "yolo" style and want to save your life, stay away from the plane road, or if possible, find for yourself a car or a boat to go to safer places. When being in the safe distance, you can loot comfortably without caring about anything.

5. Tactics

If you want to survive, you need to be alert, try to avoid unnecessary battle. Because even if you are confident to beat 1, others can hear and know your location. That would be a huge disadvantage to you. So every decision should be thought twice. Fight only when you do not have better choice. Moreover, do not fight while being out of the circle, because the players in the circle will know your location and your camp and vice versa. At that time, you will have obstacles: run and fight at the same time.

6. Underhand tactics

In Fearless Fiord, if you want to keep the life, you should hide and find somewhere to cover. It is rather easy to be spotted when moving from one place to another because the number of players is extremely high. So you should move on your knees to make it harder to be detected. A useful playstyle for you is close to the circle. Move only when a new circle appears. And standing at the edge of the circle, you can watch out the circle. Move to the center only when there is something that can cover you. When there are about 30 people left, you need to open the map, look at the circle and predict where it will narrow down and go to that place first, find yourself a nice location before others.
