  1. The beautiful ending of a legendary series and the birth of a new Engine in the gaming world.

Game series and film series have one thing in common, that is obsession, expectation and worry about the "worthy" ending. Yakuza 6 is the last part of a game series, a 13-year-old series, which has six versions released and is often on the top of best-favorite games in Japan and the world. Luckily, the developer has succeeded in making a beautiful ending to this game.

Even though SEGA is unlocked the game via demo version, Yakuza 6 still conquers all players and game experts. The opening part is a long conversation when Kazuma Kiryu is released after several years being in prison. This process not only creates new context, but also allows players who have never played Yakuza to get acquainted with the underworld in Kamurocho city.

Next, players are introduced to Kamurocho city, where the streets are filled with bars, karaoke, gambling and games stations. These virtual game stations have a lot of SEGA classic games such as Puyo Puyo or Virtua Fighter 5, while players can play music games in karaoke bars. These lively details help players to have more real experience as well as create an open world for characters.

The activities in game mostly pay attention to a "normal" life of Kazuma Kiryu, putting an end to his fighting journey and replacing with a quiet life. Yakuza spends more time managing his cat cafe and caring for his newborn nephew Haruto. It’s like that this game simulates the daily life of a single father.

Besides the open world, Yakuza 6 also remains conflict content, which, of course, develops more with the appearance of new Dragon Engine. As a result, the transition becomes much more smoothly, there is no “loading” when enter into the shop or go outside the street. The character's fighting moves become more real. Not only main character, the supporting characters are also made delicate. The number of people moving in the background is becoming more, giving a more realistic feel of a noisy city.

The supporting character is also meticulously designed.

In contrast, protagonist's fighting style becomes more condensed. Many game sites have the same review about the minimalism of Kazuma Kiryu's attacks. He punches directly on the opponent face instead of fighting into air like before. For some people this is a minus point, but PSU.com believes that this is a perfect change for character. After spending a half of his life fighting and being in prison, he must find a different lifestyle that is more effective and suitable for his age.

All in all, Yakuza 6 is rated high both in terms of content and graphics quality. The last part of the game is also satisfactory. The gangster has grown up, places more concerns on his family, his adopted daughter Haruka and his nephew Haruto. It’s a nice ending for the character and also a great appearance of Dragon Engine. Indeed, Yakuza 6 is the ending but also the beginning.
