  1. Korean government has just released its verdict for hackers after a careful trial.

Hack/cheat in game is always a big problem for both gaming community and game developers/ publishers. It not only completely removes the entertainment factor of the game, but it also directly affects the fairness of Esports products. As a result, over the recent years, game community has been fighting fiercely against this problem and has to apply both anti-cheat and real-life systems.

However, the most significant step in the fight against Hack is that governments have their own laws for this problem. If one person develops and runs Hack/Cheat tool in countries such as South Korea or China, he will be sentenced to prison as any other crimes.

That is what happened in Korea when the government, for the first time, imprisoned a hacker. A 28-year-old hacker was sentenced to one year in prison and a two-year suspended sentence after selling Hack/Cheat tool and receiving money up to 200 million won - reported by SBS News.

In fact, earlier this year, the government has also imprisoned two other hackers, but both received a suspended sentence and paid a fine. This is the first time that a hacker in the game had to be in jail. Hopefully the fight against hacking will not stop here, especially after Anti-Hack law was passed by Korean government in 2016.

Korean gaming community and gaming world community expect that there will be more such judgments applied not only for Overwatch hackers but also for other titles like PUBG, Dota 2 or LoL.
